Suddenly, a new year is here! At this time, I wish to thank everyone for your support and for sharing the news about High Heels to Hormones. I continue to receive positive feedback from all over the country about this important (yet humerous) book that brings women-specific issues into the spotlight. 2009 will be very exciting.
I am as busy as ever writing for the HealthCentral Network on their hub www.chronicpainconnection.com. The articles I write for this site take on many subjects associated with painful conditions. Helping people find solutions is what I do best and I am blessed to have such a wide audience.
I wish the best to you in this new year.

High Heels to Hormones is an Award-Winning Finalist in the Women's Health category of the National Best Books 2008 Awards, sponsored by USA Book News.
After all the long hours, all the money, and all the passionate work, my book has been recognized as one of the nation's top books for women interested in improving their health. Women are sure to benefit from this time- tested, gender-specific advice that is based on medical science. By addressing the gender differences, High Heels to Hormones puts women on the road to improved spine health.

The local chapter of the AAUW asked for me to speak at their November meeting about High Heels to Hormones. Among other female spine health issues, we will discuss how bras affect the neck, how shoes affect the spine, and how hormones lead to spine pain. Because women are built differently than men, women need some gender specific solutions. Books will be available at this event.
Signed books are also available at the Book Seller in Grass Valley, CA. Books are also available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

A new chapter is starting in my career as an author. I am now contracted to compose articles and blog entries for www.healthcentral.com and the off-shoot www.chronicpainconnection.com. My english teachers should be proud because all of their hard work as educators is really paying off. They gave me the foundation to communicate with writtten words, a skill that is hard to come by in this world of text messaging. No abbreviations allowed, just full thoughts and sentences. Never underestimate the power of the pen.

Wow, my life has been a whirl-wind with radio, blog, and television appearances. High Heels to Hormones has the attention of many women tired of going to doctors office and walking out without relief. Putting women's health, specifically spine health, in the spotlight is very rewarding indeed! Watch for updates on the events page regularly.

All of you must be wondering "When can I get my hands on this book?". Good things come to those who wait. With the cover nearly finalized, the book will move into layout and formating. After a final proofreading, the book will be done. YEAH!
Soon I will be on a publicity campaign. With millions of women dealing with spine pain, finally there will be a voice calling for health and change. I am a woman, hear me roar.

I sure love this new website, big thanks to Carol at Winterstreet Design company. The colors really pop and the navigation is easy for everyone.
The book has been fully edited and is in the cover design process. Yes, that means the front cover will be changing, so stay tuned. I would love to hear your input. If you sign my guest book, send me your comments about the cover.
I have added a new member to the book project. Her name is Kathleen Carney, a publicist who is enthusiastic about getting the word out to all women who need to read this book.
More and more of my colleagues are whole-heartedly endorsing this book. You can view their kind words on the home page. Each time you log in a new one appears.
Events will be scheduled this spring. Keep checking this site for the latest updates about my book release. Have a momentous day!

The editors are done and have awarded the manuscript “Editor’s Choice”. With this accomplishment, the book becomes eligible for placement in a local Barnes and Noble store. I cannot imagine what it would be like to walk into the store and see a copy of my book. Wow, that gives me goose bumps. I never would have imagined this happening a year ago. Just goes to show you, follow your heart and good things will come.

Geez, I never realized the editing process would take longer than writing the book. Hyphen or no hyphen, comma or no comma, and I thought doctors were opinionated.

Nominated for its first award, wow! Time for more polishing to make it shine.

The publisher has given me much praise for the manuscript. I succeeded in turning a normally dreary subject into something fun and entertaining.
